NEW STUDENT SUMMER CHECKLIST

BEFORE JUNE 15TH

BEFORE JULY 13TH

  • Submit final College transcripts to Registrar@Hillsdale.edu

  • Confirm that AP /IB/CLEP Test scores will be sent to Hillsdale College (CEEB Code: 1295)

  • Review Transfer Work on Self Service and confirm that all courses are accounted for with the exception of LANGUAGE Courses. If you are missing course work, please confirm the transcript was received.

  • Examine Curriculum guides for the majors you are considering in preparation for advising

  • Monday, June 15: Language Placement Exam is due

  • Thursday, July 2: Tuition available on Self Service

  • Tuesday, July 7: Registration Details Zoom

  • Monday, July 13: Schedule Advising Begins

  • Thursday, July 30: Registration Begins

  • Friday, August 21: Online Registration Ends

Upperclassman Advice

  • “Education is much more than what happens in the classroom.”

  • “The college and all its students and professors are rooting for you to rejoice in the challenge. We all want you to succeed, but your definition of success may drastically change."

  • “Take time to get comfortable on campus. Don't expect to find all your closest friends right away. Stay friendly and open to new experiences and opportunities”

  • "Find a way to serve other people."

  • "Don't overcommit."

  • “Say yes to things!! Group of people going to breakfast together? Join them! Late-night run to Dutch Uncle? Say yes! A surprise birthday party for someone you may not even know yet? Go! Take the opportunities to meet all sorts of different people at the beginning of college.”

  • “Be willing to respond to new opportunities that present themselves”
