Chad Wilcox
Executive Director of Career Services

Chad Wilcox is Executive Director of Career Services with Hillsdale College. Chad works alongside his team to help students discover their uniquely fulfilling role in the world, develop their strengths, and devote their energies to the meaningful work to which they have been called. Chad's charge is to set and promote the long-range vision, strategy, objectives, culture, and values of the department.
Chad is a lifelong lover of liberty with an aptitude for strategy, operations, and talent development, and a passion for changing the world. Prior to joining Hillsdale in 2025, Chad spent seven years with Pacific Legal Foundation, a nonprofit public interest law firm that sues the government when it violates individual liberties. From 2014 to 2017, Chad served as COO with the London-based Institute of Economic Affairs, the premier free-market think tank in the United Kingdom. Before this, Chad spent nine years in the DC area with the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University, where he mentored freedom-friendly young people and built programs to connect them to liberty-oriented careers. He holds a M.Ed. in organizational leadership and a B.A. in political science and economics, both from Vanderbilt University.
Apart from fighting for freedom, Chad is a miles/points hobbyist who has traveled to all 50 states and 33 countries; he is unfortunately a Tennessee Titans football fan; he enjoys craft beer and cocktails; and his wife has three cats.
Sharon Rupp
Director of Employer Relations

Sharon Rupp is Director of Employer Relations at Career Services with Hillsdale College. Sharon is part of a team committed to serving Hillsdale College students by helping them pursue vocations that align with faith, character, and service. Sharon’s main objective is to build strong relationships with employers and help them understand the distinctive strengths of a Hillsdale education while helping students carry their hard work, independence and moral responsibility into a professional setting. By partnering with mission-aligned employers, she creates thoughtful on-campus programs that support students as they explore a wide range of career paths.
Sharon is a proud alumna who is passionate about advocating for students and supporting them in preparing for a professional career. With a diverse and peopled centered background, she began her career in sales working with first aid products, then moved into executive recruitment where she developed a strong foundation in talent assessment and relationship building. After a period as a stay-at-home parent, she re-entered the work force in the dental industry gaining hands on experience in operations and patient -focused environment. She later transitioned into higher education primarily supporting graduate and doctoral level health professions programs combining administrative leadership with student and faculty support. Sharon holds a M.S. in General Administration from Central Michigan University and a B.A. Business Administration/Marketing from Hillsdale College.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Sharon enjoys snow and water skiing, running, boating, reading, and values time with husband Matt, their children and her puppy Rey.
Roma Rogers
Director of Programming and Internships

Roma Tarquenia Rogers is the Director of Programming and Internships for Career Services. She has extensive experience in student development within higher education, as well as in education from elementary through adult levels. Roma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Sociology, as well as a Master of Science degree in Management and Human Resources.
At Hillsdale, she is eager to apply her commitment and experience as a student success advisor to various career-related activities and connections. She focuses on engaging with, assisting, and providing personalized services to students and alumni who seek guidance on their next career steps.
Roma cherishes her fond memories and the travel opportunities she has shared with her husband, children, extended family, and friends. Through these experiences, she has come to understand that formal education is just one part of life; she embraces a desire for lifelong learning, continuous growth in her Christian faith, and a mindset that cultivates endless possibilities.

Mary McGovern
Career Services Advisor

Mary McGovern serves as the Career Services Advisor in the Career Services Office of Hillsdale College. She works to develop and lead professional, skilled, and self-governing students who can promote and further the mission of the office and college. She approaches her work by creating clear systems, providing intentional training, and offering mentorship to the students she leads.
Mary’s responsibilities include hiring, training, and providing continual education to the Student Career Coaches, who multiply the office's efforts by meeting with their fellow students and assisting full-time staff with their unique projects and initiatives. Additionally, Mary advises the Senior Class Officers, helping them to plan meaningful senior events and assisting them with their Commencement duties.
Outside of her work for the College, Mary is an avid reader, with her favorite authors including Flannery O’Connor, Brandon Sanderson, and Agatha Christie. She also enjoys creative endeavors, including drawing, watercolor painting, and creating her bullet journal.
Olivia Rome
Office Administrator

Olivia Rome graduated from Hillsdale in 2025 with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Dance. She is excited to work for her Alma Mater right after graduation as the Office Administrator for Career Services. Olivia works alongside the team to ensure that Career Services operates smoothly, so that students can confidently engage with career exploration and professional opportunities.
Olivia advances Career Services mission by providing administrative, logistical, and operational support that allows Career Services staff to focus on direct student engagement. Through organization, communication, and coordination, Oliva helps maintain efficient office flow and a welcoming environment that supports both students and campus partners.
In addition to working in Career Services, Olivia is McIntyre's House Director, and she teaches Pilates classes for students and staff. Outside of working in Carrer Services, Olivia enjoys making sourdough bread, brewing kombucha, and hiking.
