Student Account Information

Hillsdale College bills by the semester.  In July and December you will receive an email and a beginning balance statement that will be mailed to the home address on record. After that initial statement, Student Accounts utilizes e-billing with communication being sent to the student.  Accounts can be accessed in Self Service which can be found on the portal page at my.hillsdale.edu, Top Navigation Bar-Self Service. Student Finance will reflect all recent activity including registration changes, financial aid, and payments.

To avoid late fees, balances must be paid in full or enrolled in a Hillsdale College Payment Plan (Online) and have made your first payment by:

Online Self-Service Payment Plans

  • Please note, Payment Plan Enrollment can only be completed by the Student. Once enrolled in the Payment Plan, both the Student and Proxy can view or make payments toward the Payment Plan.

    Parents can access their students account with proxy credentials by going to:
    www.hillsdale.edu, Info For→Parents→Online Self Service Portal.

    **Note students must give proxy access for parents to be able to view and/or pay online. Proxy access is given by the student from their online access, under User Profile-View/Add Proxy Access. Once access is requested, emails will be sent, one email with your username and the next with your password. Passwords must be entered not copy and pasted.

  • • Hillsdale College Payment Plan enrollment fee is $50.00 per semester.

    • You will need to re-enroll each semester.

    • You may pay online with an e-check or credit card. There is a $1.00 convenience fee for an e-check; there is a 2.75% convenience fee for credit cards or $3.95 minimum.

    • You may mail a check. Please mail the check (payable to Hillsdale College) to Hillsdale College Business Office, 33 E. College Street, Hillsdale, MI 49242.

  • ADDITIONAL SESSIONS

    Spring Semester must be paid in full by January 15, 2027.

    Summer Session One must be paid in full by May 7, 2027.

    Summer Session Two must be paid in full by May 28, 2027.

    Payment plans are not available for summer sessions.

  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    LATE FEES- will be applied at $50.00 per month for outstanding balances or missed monthly payments. 

    CREDIT REFUND-To apply for a credit refund, you will need to process a credit refund slip with Student Accounts in Central Hall.  Checks will be issued approximately four weeks after the start of classes.

    CHECK CASHING POLICY-A student may cash a personal check up to $300.00 at the Business Office cashier window located on the first floor of Central Hall.  A student’s ID card is required for identification purposes.

    MEAL PLAN CHANGES- Must be completed for Fall 2026 by August 27th at 4:00 PM. Changes for Spring 2027 by Thursday, January 14th, 2027, at 4:00 p.m.  Meal plans can be changed by contacting the appropriate Dean's Office or through the StarRez portal.
