What Is Handshake?

Handshake, the campus platform for student employment, houses postings for available jobs on campus. Students can search and apply for jobs directly through the platform.

Use Handshake during your time at Hillsdale to browse a feed of jobs and internships, both on-campus and off-campus. Handshake helps you find the best jobs for you and makes the application process quick and easy.

Most on-campus jobs are posted throughout August and into early September. However, opportunities become available throughout the year.

How to Use Handshake:

  • Click here to log in to Handshake (after August 1) with your Hillsdale College e-mail address.

  • Click “Hillsdale College Sign On” and configure your profile.

  • Complete your “Career Interests” to tailor your feed to jobs, internships, and opportunities that fit your goals.

  • Upload your resume to “Documents” for use when applying to on-campus positions, jobs, and internships.

  • To isolate on-campus jobs, click “Jobs & Internships.” Then click to check off “On Campus Student Employment.”
